What the best B2B websites do first
Lists of the best B2B websites tend to rank the prettiest. The ones that sell share four habits above the fold, and none of them is a design trend.

Who this is for
Software products, websites and brands designed from City Road, EC1, for companies in London and far beyond. Senior people only, with nobody in between. London has more design agencies than any city in Europe, and most of them sell the same way: seniors pitch, a junior team does the work and an account manager translates between you. You rarely see the people from the pitch again. We are built the other way round. Grid is a senior-only studio of 5 senior designers and a pool of 21 senior creatives worldwide, founded in Lincoln by a designer who came back from London, with its registered HQ on City Road, EC1. The person who pitches your project is the person who designs it, and they are in every workshop and every review from kickoff to launch. Most of our work is product design for software that is hard to explain: control panels for hosting companies, a statutory traffic signs platform, compliance and payments software, an AI logo platform. The website and brand work sits alongside it, built on the same rule: understand what the company actually sells, then make it obvious. If your product needs a glossary before a designer is any use, that is our normal starting position. If you want to meet in London, that is easy. If you would rather do everything on a call, most of our clients do.
What we do
Strategy, identity and tone of voice. What you sell, said the same way everywhere.
Brand designDesigned around how your buyer evaluates you, then built properly, in WordPress, React or headless.
Website designInterfaces for complicated software, with the architecture underneath so your engineers can extend it.
Product designOur work
“My business has grown significantly whilst partnering with Grid, and I genuinely believe this would not have been possible without the brand vision Grid helped mould.”
FAQs
Our registered HQ is at 124 City Road, EC1, and it is where we meet clients in London. It is not an office full of people, and we will not pretend it is: the team is senior and remote, chosen for the job rather than the postcode. The studio was founded in Lincoln by a designer who came back from London, and he still runs every project.
Software is most of what we do. Control panels for hosting companies, a statutory traffic signs platform for TSRGD, compliance and payments software, an AI logo platform for HostPapa. We design the architecture underneath the screens, every state and every flow, so your engineers get a documented system they can extend and build on. Websites and brand sit alongside it.
Because of who does the work. At most large agencies the senior team pitches and a junior team delivers, with an account manager translating between you and them. Here the person who pitched it is the person who designs it. That caps how fast we can grow, which is the trade we made deliberately.
The same as it costs anywhere, because the work is the same. We price against a fixed scope agreed before we start and give you an honest band on the first call. No London premium, and we will tell you if you do not need us.
Yes, in London or Lincoln, and most clients do once at the start. After that the work happens on calls and in shared files, which is faster for everyone.
Yes. About half the client list is outside the UK: Managed.com and HostPapa in Canada, Servebolt in Norway, WebPros and CloudLinux in the US. We work in your time zone for the meetings that matter and asynchronously for the rest.
Websites in WordPress, React or headless, chosen for what your team has to run afterwards. Products are handed to your engineers as documented components and tokens, or built by us in React. You own everything on final payment, including the source files.

A UK website costs anything from £10 a month to £30,000 or more, and the word "website" is doing a lot of hiding. Template or custom is the real question. Here is how to tell which you need.
Rebrands are rarely lost at the design stage. They are lost in the meeting where nine people are asked what they think.
