People
From thinking to making, always one team
A core team of five seniors, and a roster of twenty-one more senior specialists across the world.
26 seniors, five in the core, twenty-one on the roster
200+ projects shipped into production
Zero juniors, account managers or handovers

Our story
Started with one opinion
Agencies should be judged on what they ship, not what they pitch. Grid started with a single founder and that sentence. Now it's a senior-only network of twenty-six, 200+ products in production, 48 teams partnered, an Awwwards Honoree.

How we're built
5 in the core, 21 around it
Most agencies grow by hiring juniors and adding a layer of account management on top. It's the only way to scale headcount faster than you can find good people, and it's why the senior team who pitched your project is rarely the team that delivers it. We grew the other way. One founder, still designing, with heads of brand, digital and sales alongside him. Around that core sits a roster of twenty-one senior specialists we've worked with for years, in several countries and several time zones. They join a project because they've solved that exact problem before, not because they were on the bench that month. You get the specialist rather than whoever was free, and you get them named in the proposal before you commit to anything.

Grid timeline

The work compounded. A founding team formed around product, brand and digital, with senior craft on every project.

2024, a senior network, globally
The network model settled. Every project overseen by the senior team, start to finish.

2026, Awwwards Honoree
The3Key earned an Awwwards Honoree. A Canadian entity registered to support North American clients.
Values
What we believe
Clarity without loss
Make the complex obvious. Don't delete the complexity to get there.
Say no early
It's cheaper to lose the project on call one than to lose the relationship in month three.
Numbers or it did not happen
First question: what does the data say?
Ship it
A design that engineering can't build isn't finished, it's a bill.

FAQs
Questions we get
The people you meet on the first call. You get a named senior lead before you commit to anything, and they are on the kickoff, the final review and every review in between. There is nobody junior here to hand the work down to.
No. The specialists on our roster are people we have worked with for years, briefed by us and accountable to us. They join a project because they have solved that exact problem before, not because someone had capacity that month.
By not putting anyone on your project who is learning. A small core holds the relationship and the decisions, and the roster brings the specialist who has already done the thing. Work that needs a skill nobody here has, we turn down.
The core team sees every project, so somebody who already knows yours is always available. You will not be introduced to a new face and asked to explain your product from the beginning.
Less than you would expect. The thread across our work is not an industry, it's difficulty: products where the technology is good and explaining it is the bottleneck. That pattern repeats everywhere, so we arrive knowing the shape of the problem even when the category is new to us. You will not spend the first three weeks explaining your category.
Per day, yes. Per project, usually not. Nobody is learning at your cost, there is no account layer to pay for, and the work does not get done twice. It caps how fast we can grow, which is the trade we made deliberately.
