Brand, identity, website design and build
A real company that still looked like a holding company.
Managed.com is the operator behind a growing family of specialist brands, names like HostPapa, CloudBlue and ColoCrossing, built over two decades and more than twenty acquisitions. 750 people across 40 countries, owned data centres, real infrastructure. A serious company by any measure.
What it did not have was a name of its own, or a story tying the parts together. To customers and to the market it read as a collection of separate brands, not one operator standing behind them. The value was real. It was also invisible.
They came to us to build the parent brand from the ground up. Turn the name into a brand, give it an identity and a voice, and design and build the website that would launch it. One rule ran through all of it: the brand had to be true on day one, underwritten by what the company already owns and operates, not by adjectives.

The problem
A family of brands, one company, no name tying them together
The group had grown by acquisition. Every business it bought kept its own name, its own customers and its own reputation, which was the right call. What was missing was the layer above them: the operator that owned the data centres, ran the platforms and stood behind all of them. Without it, the market saw a portfolio, not a company. A family of brands with no name to gather them. Decades of proof that this was a serious operator sat spread across brands that never pointed back to a single name. So we started with the thing the group had never had: one brand for the operator itself.

Three rooms
One brand, read by three very different rooms
The brand had to land with three audiences at once, and they do not want the same thing. The people across every brand in the group, who needed to feel part of one company. Customers, from a first-time SMB to an enterprise team, who needed one operator they could trust. And financiers, who needed to see a platform, not a pile of acquisitions. We built the identity so a single idea works in all three rooms: one company, one family of brands. The heritage names stay, endorsed rather than erased, 'a Managed.com company', so nothing the group has built over the years gets thrown away.

Built to be believed
A brand underwritten by what they already own
In infrastructure, the fastest way to lose a serious buyer is to oversell. So the brand leads with evidence, not adjectives. Owned data centres and IP. Twenty years operating, not aggregating. One platform behind four doors. The claim and the proof for it sit in the same eyeline, which is the same discipline that makes the heritage brands credible in the first place. The visual system carries the same intent. Editorial, not advertising: cream paper, coal ink, a single fire accent. It reads like a document you trust rather than a campaign you skip.

Very professional, extremely competent designers who really understand their craft. A brilliant team to work with, delivering thoughtful, high-quality work every time.

The mark
The whole stack, resolved into one mark
The mark is the m from the Managed.com logotype, the same forms and the same weight, so the symbol never reads as a separate object. At its base sits the operating stack: the modular services and infrastructure the group brings together. From that foundation the form resolves into one unified shape. Complexity, becoming managed, in a single mark. Then the website that puts it in front of the world, designed and built end to end, animations included, so the group finally has one place that speaks in one voice, ready for the day they announce.
